Licee Robichaux's Candied Cushaw
Ingredients:
1 cushaw squash, cut into 3 inch squares
2 sticks butter
5 lbs sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 quart water
Directions:
Mix water, butter, sugar and vanilla in a large bowl. Place
cushaw squares rind down in baking dish. Pour mixture over cushaw
squares. Bake in 350 degree oven until mixture boils. Turn
squares over, baste and bake until candied. (3 hours)
