Mom's German Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients:
1 six ounce can of pet milk (2/3 cup)
2/3 cup sugar
¼ cup sugar
½ stick of butter
dash of salt
1 beaten egg
1 tsp vanilla
coconut
pecans
Directions:
Heat first 4 ingredients over medium heat until they begin to
boil. Take off heat and add egg. Whisk until blended. Add
vanilla, coconut and pecans and mix thoroughly. Allow to cool
prior to frosting a German chocolate cake.
