Miss Jackie's Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
2 sticks butter, softened
¾ cup granulated sugar
¾ cup firmly packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 ½ cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
½ teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
3 cups semisweet chocolate pieces
Directions:
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light
and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla and beat untl just
combined. Beat in the flour, baking soda, salt and cinnamon
until well blended. Fold in the chocolate pieces by
hand. Shape into teaspoon-sized balls and bake on greased
cookie shets at 375 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes. Makes 5 to
6 dozen.
NOTE: You can
substitute one cup of chopped pecans or walnuts for one of the
cups of chocolate.
